     Joe Johns yesterday on "Today," who called him "one of the
     brightest stars in conservative politics" (NBC, 6/18).
     ..Bass fishing champion DENNY BRAUER, the FLW Tour's Angler
     of the Year, will be the first fishing champion featured on
     a Wheaties box (USA TODAY, 6/19)....Nets F JAYSON WILLIAMS
     will hold his third annual celebrity golf outing on Monday,
     June 22, at the Cherry Valley Country Club in NJ.  All
     proceeds will be donated to pediatric AIDS organizations
     (ISI)....Yankees P DAVID CONE sold his home in Greenwich,
     CT, fully furnished, for $6.7M.  He will remain in Greenwich
     after buying a $5.1M French chateau-style home (N.Y. DAILY
     NEWS, 6/19)....Dolphins DB's SAM MADISON and SHAWN WOODEN
     have signed marketing and endorsement deals with FL-based
     Total Entertainer and Athlete Management (TEAAM)....Swimmer
     NEIL WALKER has selected CO-based Gold Medal Management as
     his management firm (Gold Medal).
