KINGS RANSOM IN L.A.; COURTSIDE HEAT RISES IN MIAMI

For the first time in five years, the NHL Kings have
raised ticket prices for all '98-99 regular season home
games. The Kings '98-99 average ticket will increase 11%,
from $33.87 to $37.62. The biggest jump was in the highest-
priced seats, going from $300 to $335 (Kings).
FEEL THE HEAT: The Heat "is slashing the price of its
cheap seats but making it costlier to sit near courtside,"
according to Clark Spencer of the MIAMI HERALD. The Heat
dropped the cost of its cheapest seats from $12 to $9 but
upped lower level seats to $65, slightly increasing its
average ticket price from $34 to $36.94(MIAMI HERALD, 6/13).
