year deal to broadcast world curling events, carrying twelve
tour events a season (TORONTO STAR, 5/29). CTV has also
"worked out a deal" with FIS, the governing body of World
Cup skiing, for broadcast rights to 32 races (Toronto GLOBE
& MAIL, 5/28)....ESPN will present a chronicle of the USA
World Cup soccer team in a one-hour "Outside The Lines,"
airing June 9 at 7:30 pm ET (ESPN).
