HBO OFFERS LEWIS BEST OF BOTH WORLDS: MONEY AND HOLYFIELD

HBO has offered Lennox Lewis a guarantee of $30M for
five fights, "with a window for Lewis to meet Evander
Holyfield," who is contracted to Showtime, according to
Steve Bunce of the London DAILY TELEGRAPH. Lewis has until
the middle of June to agree to the offer, and Bunce wrote
that he "surely will." As part of the deal, only three of
Lewis' five fights "have to be against so-called category A
performers" such as Ray Mercer, Buster Douglas or Michael
Moorer (Steve Bunce, London DAILY TELEGRAPH, 5/19).
