SI MAKES PERSONNEL MOVES IN MARKETING, SALES AND AD DEPT.

          Sports Illustrated has announced staff changes in its
     Marketing, Sales Development, and Ad Sales departments.  JIM
     WHITELAW has been promoted to Olympic Director and will
     manage the SI's worldwide Olympic sponsorship that runs
     through 2004.  MARTHA MCMAHON has been promoted from Event
     Manager to Event Marketing Dir.  MICHAEL MCNEIL joins SI as
     Dir of Retail Marketing.  McNeil was Dir of National
     Accounts for NBAP's Consumer Products Group.  KAREN TRAVIS
     joins SI's NY office as Account Manager.  She was at Woman's
     Day.  MARK SPEHAR, formerly of Entertainment Weekly, joins
     SI's Boston office as an Account Manager (SI).
