ATLANTA HAWKS SEEK DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

          Job Summary: Oversee all day to day aspects of the
     Marketing Department, including the promotions, advertising,
     game operations and internal marketing functions of the
     Atlanta Hawks, LP.  Responsible for the creation and
     development of marketing plans, promotions and advertising
     campaigns, special events designed to increase the Hawks'
     audience both inside the arena and out.  Also responsible
     for all game presentation elements for the Hawks, including
     mascots, Dance Team, and all in-arena entertainment in
     conjunction with the Corporate/Broadcast Sales department,
     develop and plan sponsor programs, special events and other
     programs.  Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in
     business/marketing, communications, sports management or
     related field.  Minimum of 5 years sports marketing related
     experience, preferably in promotions and advertising. 
     Minimum of 2 years management experience with ability to
     manage and motivate people.  Excellent verbal/written
     communication skills.  Experience in developing and
     supervising all stages of marketing and promotional
     campaigns from initial strategy through final execution. 
     Experience in developing/evaluating proposals.  Hands on
     budgeting experience.  Strong organizational and creative
