   NOTES: ALC = Alexander Coliseum; GED = Georgia Dome. 
     The Hawks split their home games between the two facilities
     while their new arena is constructed.  ANA = Arrowhead Pond
     of Anaheim.  Philadelphia and Toronto decreased capacity
     from last season, while Dallas and Detroit increased
     capacity.  GS played in the newly renovated Oakland
     Coliseum, which has increased capacity to 19,200.   The
     Wizards' first five home games were played at US Airways
     Arena.  "'96-97 AVG." is based on the same number of home
     dates teams played in '97-98.
