          News Corp. Chair RUPERT MURDOCH and his wife, ANNA,
     "are separating."  Analysts and Hollywood execs said that
     they "don't foresee the split creating problems for
     Murdoch's family-controlled empire" (L.A. TIMES, 4/22)....
     ...JAY LENO: "The Clippers fired their coach, BILL FITCH,
     yesterday.  That was a shock, don't you think?  I didn't
     even know the Clippers had a coach" ("Tonight Show," NBC,
     4/21)....Grammy Award winner TONI BRAXTON "denied rumors"
     that Jets RB CURTIS MARTIN "recently asked her to marry him
     and that she turned down his proposal."  Braxton: "I've
     heard the rumors, and they are completely untrue."  She said
     the two have a "warm friendship" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 4/21).
