BENGALS STADIUM TO COME IN AT $288M; GROUNDBREAKING SET

Hamilton County, OH, has "hit its most important
football stadium cost target," as a new Bengals stadium will
cost $288M, according to Lucy May of the CINCINNATI
ENQUIRER. The cost "covers" the $270M stadium itself; the
team's three riverfront practice fields and practice
facilities, at a cost of $10M; and "other costs such as
carpeting, furniture in luxury suites and equipment, such as
popcorn poppers" (Lucy May, CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 4/19).
County officials "hope to attract a football-game sized
crowd" to the groundbreaking on Saturday. They will "spend
most of the next week" using massive invitation mailings and
TV ads, newspaper inserts and a Fountain Square publicity
event (Barry Horstman, CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 4/18).
