JUNIOR HOCKEY MAY GET CHANCE ON MAJOR CANADIAN NETWORK

Canada's major junior hockey league is close to signing
a deal with CTV Sports Net "that would significantly
increase the Canadian Hockey League's [CHL] exposure both on
national and regional levels," according to David Naylor of
the Toronto GLOBE & MAIL. Tom Murray, President of the St.
Clair Group, the marketing agent for the CHL, said coverage
could include as many as 120 games, most of which would be
regionally broadcast on one of the Sports Net's four
signals. In previous seasons, the CHL was broadcast on TSN
on Sunday nights (Toronto GLOBE & MAIL, 4/16).
