EARLY REVIEWERS GET A CHARGE OUT OF NEW EDISON FIELD

Edison International Field, the Angels' newly renovated
ballpark, received positive reviews after its debut Friday.
In L.A., J.A. Adande wrote, "The good news is there was
plenty that needed to be changed. Anaheim Stadium used to be
the blandest place around. ... Now, it evokes words like
'cozy'" (L.A. TIMES, 3/28). In Orange County, Steve Bisheff
called Edison Field "striking. ... The Big E should become to
baseball what The Pond already is to hockey. A place that
makes you want to come back" (ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER, 3/28).
Mark Emmons wrote that added to Edison Field "are some very
Disney touches, most notably the rock formation beyond the
left-center outfield wall that resembles something straight
from 'The Lion King'" (ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER, 3/28).
