George Steinbrenner says he may have overstayed his
time as owner of the Yankees, in a one-on-one interview with
CBS News Correspondent Harry Smith on "CBS News Sunday
Morning" to air this Sunday. Steinbrenner says in the
interview: "I think 25 years is longer than anybody has
owned the Yankees. Maybe that's long enough. ... Maybe I've
overstayed my time" (CBS)....Eagles Owner Jeff Lurie labeled
rumors that he was looking to sell the team "totally
absurd." Lurie: "No matter what we say or do these rumors
keep coming up. It's a very attractive property, so people
maybe hope that. But that's the last thing on the planet I
would do. ... I'm not selling the team" (PHILADELPHIA
INQUIRER, 3/26)....The Brett group -- brothers Bobby and
George, and ID-based investor Bill Pereira Jr. -- "remain
very interested in making a bid" for the Royals. Bobby
Brett is reviewing the Royals' financial records and will
meet with Pereira this weekend to share the documents (K.C.
STAR, 3/26)....The D'Backs will sell around 350 seats for $1
at each home game this year (AZ DAILY STAR, 3/26).
