          Rawlings Sporting Goods was profiled by Matthew
     Stichnoth in Sunday's N.Y. TIMES under the header "Baseball
     and Beyond."  Stichnoth looked at Rawlings' financial
     status, calling it "a small fry in the world of athletic
     equipment."  He also wrote that '98 has the "most promising
     earnings outlook for the company in years" (N.Y. TIMES,
     3/15)....Puma was examined by Andrew Fisher in the weekend's
     FINANCIAL TIMES.  Fisher wrote that the company will devote
     "much of its marketing efforts" to this summer's World Cup,
     and will also introduce a new shoe, the Cellerator, in May
     (FINANCIAL TIMES, 3/14)....Liquidmetal Golf was profiled in
     Sunday's S.F. EXAMINER under the header "Liquidmetal Clubs
     Promise To Take Your Game to New Heights -- For a Price"
     (S.F. EXAMINER, 3/15)....Canadian clothing company Roots is
     taking its line of Canadian Olympic wear to the U.S. and
     int'l markets, and new endorser Ross Rebagliati "is
     expected" to appear in print and POP advertising.  Creative
     is handled in-house (AD AGE DAILY, 3/16).
