FACILITY NOTES

Two dozen fans attended an "initial meeting" with
Padres officials to discuss "the public's vision for a
proposed ballpark." The team "hand-selected" 24 people and
will continue to hold the informational meetings each month
     (S.D. UNION-TRIBUNE, 3/11)....In Boston, Tina Cassidy writes
that legislation for a new Patriots stadium "appears to be
in limbo." MA House Speaker Thomas Finneran's "inaction" is
being viewed as a "not-so-subtle message that the law will
be written his way -- that is, without the land purchase and
perhaps with a greater team payback to the state" (BOSTON
GLOBE, 3/12)....Ericsson Stadium and Volume Services have
ended their relationship. Volume has had the Ericsson
account since '94. A spokesperson for the facility said it
has not signed any company to handle concession sales or
     long-term catering (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 3/12).
