ESPN ANNOUNCES CHANGES IN SALES AND MARKETING DEPARTMENTS

          ESPN announced that PAUL SLAGLE has been promoted to
     VP/Integrated Sales & Marketing.  Slagle had been Dir of 
     Integrated Sales & Marketing, a position to which RANDY
     GERSTENBLATT has now been named.  Gerstenblatt had been Dir
     of Marketing Sales at Cap Cities/ABC.  TERRENCE SEKEL has
     been named Dir of Integrated Sales & Marketing.  Sekel had
     been Dir of Int'l Advertising Sales.  MARIAN MELCHER HANSON
     has been named VP/Special Events Marketing.  She had been
     Managing Dir of CT-based Int'l Promotion Management (ESPN). 
     In other ESPN news, DANIELLE MAGED has been named Dir of
     Strategic Planning at ESPN Int'l.  She had been a consultant
     at Fox Sports Int'l.  In addition, ESPN Int'l has promoted
     PHIL SHIFFMAN to Dir of Int'l Research/Special Projects.  He
     had been Dir of Research/Measurements (CABLE WORLD, 2/23).
