VIKINGS OWNERSHIP SITUATION MAY TAKE A FEW WEEKS TO RESOLVE

          Lawyers for Vikings President Roger Headrick and the
     team's other nine owners met with NFL Commissioner Paul
     Tagliabue for five hours yesterday, but the question of
     whether Headrick or Tom Clancy will be granted control of
     the team "might not be settled for another few weeks,"
     according to Don Banks of the Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE
     (2/20).  In St. Paul, Charley Walters reports that the
     hearing "included mention that a favorable ruling" for
     Headrick "would invite major litigation, not only against
     Headrick, but against the NFL for tortuous interference with
     an agreement to purchase" (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 2/20).
