IF YOU'RE OFF TO SEE THE WIZARDS NEXT SEASON, BRING MORE $$

The NBA Wizards will announce a ticket increase for
next season "shortly," while the Capitals will reduce some
of their top tickets at MCI Center, according to Mark Asher
of the WASHINGTON POST. The Wizards' best seats will
increase from $75 to $85. Some other $75 tickets will
increase by $2, as will the $65 tickets. The $19, $32 and
$40 tickets will remain the same. For the Capitals, some of
the $60 seats will be reduced to $50. There also will be a
new $38 ticket, some reduced from $40. Washington Sports
officials had no comment on the increase. Meanwhile, both
teams will raise prices for the playoffs this year. The
Caps' $60 ticket will go up with each playoff round -- all
the way up to $175 for the Stanley Cup Finals. The Wizards'
$75 seats would go to $80 for the first round, and jump to
$150M if they advance to the finals (WASHINGTON POST, 2/20).
