CBA OK'S EXPANSION BID FOR TRENTON, HEARS FOUR OTHER GROUPS

2.19.1998

          The CBA Board of Directors approved Trenton, NJ, as an
     expansion city for the '99-2000 season.  A Trenton team will
     be owned and operated by Caliper Sports & Associates, led by
     Dr. Herbert Greenberg.  It has half a year to show community
     support by selling at least 2,500 season tickets and gaining
     a "reasonable amount" of corporate support.  NJ-based
     Greenberg is President of Caliper, a human resources
     consulting firm (Caliper).  The CBA also heard expansion
     presentations from potential ownership groups in St.
     Charles, MO, Mexico, Savannah, GA, and New Orleans (CBA).
