TURNER SETTLES WITH MAG AS THRASHERS ARE OFFICIALLY BORN

2.18.1998

          TBS announced that its NHL expansion team will
     officially be named the Thrashers, following an out-of-court
     settlement with High Speed Productions, the publisher of
     Thrasher, a skateboarding magazine.  Terms of the settlement
     were not disclosed.  In conjunction with the settlement, the
     NHL has approved the naming of the team (TBS).
