RAPTING PHILOSOPHICAL: SLAIGHT HAS "NO REGRETS" ABOUT SALE

Allan Slaight says he has "no regrets" about selling
the Raptors and their arena to the Maple Leafs, according to
David Israelson of the TORONTO STAR. Slaight: "It was the
wise thing to do. ... A lot of problems can now be solved
(for both teams)." Slaight said that he faced "no pressure"
to sell, and he did not suffer massive losses from the sale.
He called a published report that he took a hit of C$35M in
order to sell the Raptors "total nonsense." Slaight:
"That's ridiculous" (David Israelson, TORONTO STAR, 2/16).
