The Sports Authority named former Staples President
     MARTIN HANAKA as Vice Chair.  He will report directly to TSA
     Chair JACK SMITH (N.Y. POST, 1/30)....Management news from
     FL-based JumboSports: In a "surprise announcement," Interim
     Chair JACK BUSH agreed to stay as Chair & CEO.  In addition,
     ROBERT FLOUM has taken over COO duties from RAY SPRINGER.

          The Red Wings will meet with PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON
