RILEY RULES THIS ROOST AS HEAT BREAK GROUND ON HOME FOR 'ZO

The Heat yesterday broke ground on its new American
Airlines Arena, according to Luisa Yanez of the Ft.
     Lauderdale SUN-SENTINEL. The $190M, 20,000-seat arena is
scheduled to open in December of '99. Heat Owner Micky
Arison, noting the Panthers new Broward arena: "I believe
South Florida can support two new arenas and maybe three.
And I think there will be enough corporate support for both
teams" (SUN-SENTINEL, 1/28). Although the team has yet to
launch its sales campaign, "about 15 or 20 Center Court
Suites and about 175 of the 300 Courtside Lounge seats are
sold." Three of four available "Starboxes," costing
$500,000 each, have also been sold (MIAMI HERALD, 1/28).
