FRANCHISE NOTES

In L.A., KTLA-TV reported that City Councilmember Nate
Holden would address the "council tomorrow on the subject of
bringing the Raiders back to Los Angeles 'immediately.'"
Raiders Exec Assistant Al LoCasale: "This is the first I've
heard of it" (S.F. CHRONICLE, 1/21)....Cavs attendance is up
7% from last season, but Burt Graeff of the PLAIN DEALER
noted that "the empty bright blue seats in Gund Arena are a
hot topic." Many of the tickets, "particularly" in the
lower bowl, are corporate-owned and not regularly used.
Cavs Senior VP/Sales & Marketing Jim Kahler: "One thing that
really makes those empty seats stand out are the
unbelievably bright television lights we have here. The
empty sold seats are a concern" (PLAIN DEALER, 1/20).
