          ABC's "MNF" broadcast tonight will devote most of its
     12-minute halftime to the Joe Montana jersey retirement
     ceremony.  Al Michaels will be master of ceremonies (S.J.
     MERCURY NEWS, 12/14)....In N.Y., Phil Mushnick writes that
     "Fox NFL Sunday" pregame show is "so geared toward empty-
     headed adolescents that its real success may be in
     discouraging the presence of intelligent fans of all ages"
     (N.Y. POST, 12/15)....NEWSDAY's Manny Topol profiled NFL
     Films: "Wholly owned by the National Football League since
     1964, NFL Films has chronicled the league's history with a
     flair and style that would be the envy of Hollywood studios"
     (NEWSDAY, 12/14)....Damon Perry will join the "One-On-One
     Sports" weekday lineup beginning December 29.  Perry, who
     comes from Detroit's WDFN 1130 Sports Radio, will host One-
     On-One's morning show from 6:00-10:00am EDT (One-On-One).
