          USA Network has extended its agreement to broadcast the
     French Open for four more years, through 2001 (USA Network).
     ...USA TODAY's Rudy Martzke puts NBC's contract extension
     with the USGA at about $115M, "an increase of about 40%"
     (USA TODAY, 12/12)....Former ABC News correspondent Armen
     Keteyian will begin his new assignments at CBS Sports and
     HBO Sports on January 1 (CBS Sports)....In Toronto, the CBC
     inked a one-year deal to carry 40 Blue Jays games in '98,
     five more games than in '97.  The deal "is believed to be
     worth" C$5M (Toronto GLOBE & MAIL, 12/12)....Tiger Woods'
     "Tiger & Friends" made-for-TV golf match was washed out
     yesterday due to heavy rain.  Woods and his celebrity
     friends will play today (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 12/12).
