ONLINE NEWS: SPORTSZONE OFFERS TIE IN ON SPORTSMANSHIP

          ESPN SportsZone will produce a five-part "Outside the
     Lines" series on sportsmanship that begins today and
     complements the November 4th telecast of ESPN's program on
     the same subject.  SportZone's users will be able to submit
     questions for use during the Town Meeting telecast and
     participate in discussion via other interactive features,
     including an open chat room during the November 4th Town
     Meeting after the Outside the Lines report (ESPN).
          TOTAL ACCESS: "Access Hollywood" examined the premiere
     of Michael Jordan's Web site on CBS SportsLine.  Jordan, on
     fans sending him email: "It's going to be fun, and I'm going
     to take the time to try to reply as often as possible, and I
     anticipate I will get a lot, a lot of emails" (Access
     Hollywood," 10/29). Jordan's Web site was also mentioned on
     "Fox Sports News."  Jordan: "There's a lot of things I
     cannot do.  I can't go to malls, I can't go to amusement
     parks. ... What this provides me is an opportunity to
     interact without being present" ("Fox Sports News," 10/29).
          YIPPE, YAHOO: YAHOO! magazine's November issue features
     a complete breakdown of sports-related Web sites. The
     magazine also reviews computer sports games, and offers a
     run-off of the top eight general sports Web sites.  The
     final pitted CBS SportsLine against CNN/SI, with SportsLine
     being named the best overall site (YAHOO!, 11/97 issue).
          NOTES: OnSale, the CA-based auction site, has launched
     the Sports and Fitness Auction Supersite, in collaboration
     with CBS SportsLine (MEDIA CENTRAL, 10/30)....GolfWeb will
     be contributing content to search engine Excite's Sports
     Channel (AD AGE, 10/30)....FL-based Sunshine Network will
     launch SunshineNetwork.com this Friday (Sunshine Network).
     ...Total College Sports Networks' live cybercast of the
     MI/MI State football game received over 1 million hits, more
     than any previous college football cybercast (TCSN).
