The USOC and SLOC announced that PA-based York International Corp. will become an official sponsor of the '98, 2000 and 2002 U.S. Olympic Teams, as well as a sponsor of the 2002 Winter Games and 2002 Paralympics Games in Salt Lake City. York is an industrial equipment supplier (OPUS). In UT, Jay Baltezore reported that the company declined to reveal the value of the sponsorship, but that the figure "is presumed to meet" the $10M supplier sponsorship category set by the USOC (SALT LAKE TRIBUNE, 10/28)....In other news, The Home Depot has retained Cohn & Wolfe to leverage its eight- year sponsorship of the U.S. and Canadian Olympic and Paralympic teams and the 2002 Winter Games (Cohn & Wolfe).
