APPAREL COMPANY CHAMPIONS THE CAUSE OF REAL ATHLETES

          Champion Products debuted two new TV spots Saturday
     during the ND-USC football game that will air on network and
     cable sports programming through next spring.  Rotation will
     be especially heavy during NBA games on TNT and TBS where
     the spots will air three to four times per game.  The spots,
     by TDWA Chiat/Day, NY, emphasize the essentials of sports
     and shows "real, everyday athletes wearing Champion."  The
     first commercial features athletes playing football, the
     second a pick-up basketball game (Champion).
