Oakland and Alameda County "separated themselves from
[Raiders Owner Al] Davis in a complicated revenue-sharing
lawsuit against the NFL, then they settled out of court with
the league, leaving Al once again on an island."....Cowboys
Owner Jerry Jones, asked by Peter King if he had "the
football guy" in the organization who could "retool" the
Cowboys: "Yes, you're looking at him" ("NFL Preview," CNN,
10/19)....A crowd of 31,042, which included "about" 7,000
game-day purchases, attended yesterday's Redskins-Oilers
