IN NEW CAMPAIGN, THREE PACERS GET A TASTE OF FRENCH LICK

Antonio Davis, Fred Hoiberg and Haywoode Workman star
in a new Pacers ad campaign in which the players take a trip
to Larry Bird's hometown of French Lick "to learn more about
their new coach and sell some tickets along the way,"
according to Mark Montieth of the INDIANAPOLIS STAR-NEWS.
The ads, from IN-based Caldwell VanRiper, also include Chris
Mullin and local French Lick residents. The first two in
the series of three tongue-in-cheek ads have begun airing,
while the third, which ends with Davis, Hoiberg and Workman
"looking up at a large photograph of Bird in his high school
uniform" and commenting on the length of his shorts, won't
air until after the regular season begins. In the third ad,
Hoiberg is seen taking three pointers at Bird's high school
gym, yelling out, "Bird for three!" Later, when looking up
at the Bird photo, Workman says, "Fred. Look at those
shorts, man!" Hoiberg responds: "What's wrong with them. I
kind of like them" (INDIANAPOLIS STAR-NEWS, 10/15).
