AVALANCHE PLAYERS STAR IN NEW SPOTS FOR FOX SPORTS NET

Patrick Roy, Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, Claude Lemieux and Rene Corbet recently filmed promo ads for Fox Sports Net which will run at the end of the month on Fox Sports Rocky Mountain, according to Penny Parker of the DENVER POST. "Portions" of the spots will be used for a national campaign produced by Spike Lee. In one spot, entitled "Ginsu," an equipment manager asks Roy if his skates are sharp enough. Roy then slices up some vegetables and tries unsuccessfully to sever a nail with the skate, before handing it back and saying, "No. Keep going" (DENVER POST, 9/18).
