SC SUPREME COURT RELEASE DOCUMENTS ON SHINN CASE
Published September 17, 1997
While Hornets Owner GEORGE SHINN "has not been charged in any crime," FBI and SC law enforcement officials "say their investigations continues" (Chandler & Wright, CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 9/17). Court documents released yesterday indicate that a 28-year-old NC woman "is accusing" Shinn of "sexually assaulting her" at his SC home. Shinn's attorney, Bill Diehl, said his client had no comment, but added, "At the proper time and proper place, Mr. Shinn will give his side" (Raleigh NEWS & OBSERVER, 9/17).
