THE STARS TURNED OUT FOR NY'S TOP 100 SPORTS MOMENTS

          Over 1,000 people attended "New York's Top 100 Sports
     Moments" gala dinner last night on the floor of Madison
     Square Garden.  Produced by FRANK VUONO, STEVE ROSSNER, AND
     FRED FREED of Integrated Sports International, the dinner --
      which benefited the New York City Public Schools and the CJ
     Foundation for SIDS --- was sponsored by Nobody Beats the
     Wiz, the N.Y. Daily News, WFAN/Sports Radio 66, Joseph
     Abboud Company, Sprint PCS, Rums of Puerto Rico, American
     Airlines, and the New York Marriott Marquis.  Highlights
     included live entertainment from BRUCE HORNSBY, an auction
     in which MIKE FRANCESA and CHRIS "MAD DOG" RUSSO
     successfully bid $20,000 for an hour-and-a-half of court
     time with JOHN MCENROE, and the presentation of NYC's top
     sports moment by Mayor RUDY GIULIANI.  JOE NAMATH's
     guarantee of the Jets victory in Super Bowl III was selected
     as New York's #1 sports moment (THE DAILY).
