          49ers QB Steve Young has been "hired as the corporate
     spokesperson and anchor" for the new online iMall Sports
     Center (AD AGE, 9/12)....NHRA Top Fuel driver Joe Amato has
     added the Hearst Entertainment TV show "Eerie, Indiana," on
     Fox, as a sponsor.  Amato: "We need to get the kids
     involved.  Cigarettes and beer aren't for the kids" (USA
     TODAY, 9/12). ...MI-based Small Earth Inc. is in Milwaukee
     through the weekend buying used pairs of Nike shoes to sell
     them in Japan.  The company has an ad running through Monday
     in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel identifying the models
     they will buy.  Small Earth pays an average of $63 for a
     pair of shoes (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 9/11)....The
     common stock of The Marquee Group, Inc. began trading
     yesterday on the American Stock Exchange under the ticker
     symbol MRT.  It was traded on the NASDAQ Small Cap market
     and the Boston Stock Exchange (Amex)....Pete Sampras, Jim
     Courier, Marcelo Rios and John McEnroe will compete in the
     "Nike Cup" tennis exhibition, December 12 in Portland OR, to
     benefit the Tim & Tom Gullikson Foundation (Nike).
