          After FL settled its tobacco case for $11.3B on Monday,
     tobacco companies are being forced to "pull a major chunk of
     their advertising" and signs in sports arenas will have to
     be removed (AD AGE, 8/26). In Ft. Lauderdale, Larry Lebowitz
     writes that there won't be "earthshaking" changes to local
     sports "unless you're an auto-racing fan" (SUN-SENTINEL,
     8/26)....NBR's Jeff Yastine reported that following the
     announcement of its deal with Packers DE Reggie White,
     shares of Campbell's Soup closed up 1/4, at 47 7/8 ("Nightly
     Business Report," PBS, 8/26). ...Spalding Sports Worldwide
     Senior VP Scott Creelman said last week that the company was
     conducting "brand equity reviews," but any changes in
     marketing strategy for the Spalding, Top Flite and Etonic
     brands were "unlikely to affect its agency lineup."  Hill,
     Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Boston, handles Spalding and
     Top Flite, while Greenberg Seronick O'Leary & Partners
     handles Etonic (ADWEEK, 8/25 issue).
