     September 14 (WASHINGTON POST, 8/21)....USA TODAY's Michael
Hiestand profiles the opening of the USTA's Arthur Ashe
Stadium this Saturday. USTA Dir of Sales & Marketing Pierce

(USA TODAY, 8/21)....In San Antonio, David Robinson "hinted
strongly" yesterday that if plans for an arena don't
materialize soon, "a real possibility" exists that ownership
will entertain offers from out-of-town investors. Robinson:
"The Spurs haven't opened up their books to me. But,
financially, this is a small town. ... We still have to
compete against the Chicagos. And it's going to be very
difficult unless we have revenues to do that" (SAN ANTONIO
EXPRESS-NEWS, 8/21)....In DC, more than 600 people showed up
at a church auditorium for a job fair for the MCI Center,
which opens December 2 (WASHINGTON POST, 8/21).
