REEBOK STAYS HOME IN LATEST NBA SIGNING, CHAUNCEY BILLUPS

          Reebok Int'l has signed Celtics first-round draft pick
     Chauncey Billups to an endorsement contract.  The deal
     covers performance footwear and apparel and sports
     accessories including eyewear and watches (Reebok).  In
     Denver, Kevin Coleman writes that Reebok officials called
     Billups "their primary target athlete from the draft" and
     said that he "will be marketed prominently" with Reebok's
     other NBA guards, including the Nets' Sam Cassell, the
     Lakers' Nick Van Exel and the Blazers' Kenny Anderson. 
     Reebok Senior Dir of Sports Marketing Howard Smith: "He will
     figure very prominently in our basketball marketing programs
     beginning this season."  Financial terms of the deal were
     not disclosed (DENVER POST, 8/20).  Billups completed a
     Reebok photo shoot shot in Houston (BOSTON GLOBE, 8/20).
