MARCUS ALLEN AND RONNIE LOTT FILE SUIT AGAINST NFLPA

Marcus Allen, Ronnie Lott and businessman Richard
Simon, owners of Super Party, Inc., (SPI) have filed suit in
Kansas City, MO, against the NFLPA, its licensing subsidiary
NFL Players Inc and NFLPA Asst. Exec Dir/Players Inc
President Doug Allen, according to a release issued by SPI
attorney Jack Brady. The suit charges that the NFLPA,
Players Inc and Doug Allen engaged in "deceitful and
fraudulent actions" to seize control of "The World's Largest
Super Bowl Party," a venture created and established by
Marcus Allen, Lott and Simon, owner of IL-based United
Management (Jack Brady). A three-year agreement between the
NFLPA and SPI, which allowed for the "Party" to be called
the Official Party of the NFLPA and use of the PA logo,
expired in '96. The NFLPA now hosts the Super Bowl's "NFL
Players Party" (THE DAILY). The NFLPA's Allen told THE
DAILY he has not received the complaint, but called the
allegations "a complete rewrite of history. It is factually
inaccurate. ... If it gets to court I'm comfortable ...
that we will prevail" (THE DAILY).
