     can always make a few improvements.  I'd like to make some

     ...ESPN's Bob Stevens reported that Players Inc debuted five
     items for sale last season and "an expanded merchandise list
     is just starting to reach retailers now" ("SportsCenter,"
     8/13)....N.Y. Giants coach Jim Fassel has signed with IMG 
     for exclusive marketing representation in broadcasting,
     literary, speaking and other off-the-field activities (IMG).
     ...WI-based Simplicity Manufacturing will market its "Snow
     Tackler" walk-behind snowthrowers with the colors and logos
     of 12 NFL teams, including the Packers.  The machines retail
     for $674 (MILWAUKEE BUSINESS JOURNAL, 8/11)....Miller
     Brewing "plans to leverage" its NFL sponsorship with a
     series of promos tied to Miller Lite, and will hold bar
     tryouts to locate four male and female "cheerleaders" to
     appear in national TV spots.  The four, with 60 sweepstakes
     winners, will earn Super Bowl trips (AD AGE, 8/14).
