YOUNG CROP OF FEMALE TENNIS PLAYERS GAINING STYLE POINTS

Tennis players MARTINA HINGIS, CHANDA RUBIN, MARY
PIERCE and AMANDA COETZER were featured on "Access
Hollywood," as Larry Mendte reported that a "younger group"
of female players "has fans flocking to the court," and the
players are "bringing something else to the stadiums --
style." Analyst BUD COLLINS: "Sure they're babes. They're
practically babes in arms." Coetzer, on the "style" of the
players: "We are in show business, somewhat. We're
entertaining people. And if we didn't have that, I think
tennis just wouldn't be as exciting to watch." Pierce: "Its
important to go out there and look professional as well as
     feminine" ("Access Hollywood," 8/12).
