victory in the men's 4x100 sprint relay at the World Track
and Field Championships: "[C]overage by NBC ... proved
generally balanced and a far cry from the same network's

said the station will carry Saints Coach Mike Ditka's weekly
radio talk show starting this Friday (CHICAGO TRIBUNE,
8/10)....In Jacksonville, columnist Mike Bianchi wrote on
the dispute between the Florida Times-Union and the
NFL/Jaguars over the paper's Jaguars web page under the
header, "Rozelle Wouldn't Have Stood For Web Of Intrigue."
Bianchi: "[T]oday's conglomeration of league power brokers
has become so enamored with licensing and copywriting the
NFL's official image, it has lost track of what's good for

reported that the Showboat Hotel/Casino/Bowling Center is
going to bet $1M there will be no 300 games rolled during a
championship match on CBS' nine PBA telecasts in '98. If a
PBA bowler does roll 300, he will win the $1M. PBA
Commissioner Mark Gerberich: "I'm not going to confirm we
