THE PRICE OF SUCCESS? JAZZ RAISE TICKET PRICES

          The Jazz "are following their most successful season in
     history with the biggest ticket-price hike ... since the
     team moved to the Delta Center in 1991," according to
     Michael Lewis of the SALT LAKE TRIBUNE. Jazz Senior VP/
     Marketing Jay Francis: "We didn't go up because of the
     finals or anything. It's strictly a business decision."
     Prices for the "best seats" at the Delta Center go from $60-
     $68, a 13.3% boost.  Those who buy season-tickets get a
     discount, "but that turns the hike from $50 to $58 into a 16
     percent increase." Other price changes include the rest of
     the lower bowl seats ranging from $51-$62, up 12.7-15.6%;
     upper bowl seats are being raised from 5.2-12%, the most
     expensive seat going for $42; and the cheapest seats in the
     arena, which sold for $9.50 last year and $8.50 to season-
     ticket holders, will go up 5% to $10 and $9 (SALT LAKE
     TRIBUNE, 7/24).
