CNN/SI INTRODUCES SPORTSIM FANTASY AREA TO NEW WEB SITE

          CNN/SI has added SportSim, "a free fantasy sports
     environment," to its web site located at http://www.CNNSI.
     com, according to Nzong Xiong of the N.Y. TIMES.  SportSim
     is a joint venture between CNN/SI and the Sandbox
     Entertainment Corp.  SportSim players will be able to "build
     their first team for free, but additional teams cost $19.95
     each."  SportSim "will kick off the pro football season with
     four fantasy areas," and owners will be able to compete in
     public or private leagues.  Users will also have access to
     CNN/SI's "insider reports, breaking news and the latest
     statistics" (N.Y. TIMES, 7/21). 
          REVIEW: In FL, Sharon Robb reviewed the new CNN/SI
     site, calling it a "must-see.  Robb: "Combining CNN's
     newsgathering resources with the journalistic talents of
     Sports Illustrated, the sports fan gets a more in-depth look
     at sports and issues of the day" (SUN-SENTINEL, 7/20).
