RAIDERS HIRE NEW AGENCY TO AID '97 GROUND AND AIR ATTACK

          The Oakland Football Marketing Association (OFMA) has
     hired S.F.-based ad agency RD/Fox to develop advertising for
     the '97 season, according to Jane Irene Kelly in ADWEEK.
     Kelly writes that while neither RD/Fox nor the OFMA would
     discuss the budget for this year's campaign, "sources close
     to the agency and client said at least" $2M has been
     committed for advertising in '97, "with a strong chance that
     more funds are to come." The agency is currently shooting
     TV spots which will air on "major" broadcast and cable
     networks in the Bay Area, along with drops in the Fresno;
     Sacramento; and Reno, NV, markets. The campaign's tagline
     is "Real Raiders' football is back. This time, be there."
     A separate campaign for luxury boxes at the Oakland Coliseum
     broke this week in business publications (ADWEEK, 7/14).
