          SIG ROGICH, a former PR consultant to former PRESIDENTS
     RONALD REAGAN and GEORGE BUSH is working to restore MIKE
     TYSON's "tattered reputation."  Rogich said he helped write
     Tyson's public apology and advised him against attending
     last Wednesday's NV State Athletic Commission hearing
     (Raleigh NEWS & OBSERVER, 7/12)....The Knicks' JOHN STARKS
     has his own clothing business called Original Man Wear. The
     "medium-priced" line targets the 18-45-year-old demo and is
     available at stores like JCPenney and Nordstrom's (N.Y.
     POST, 7/14)....Agent RALPH CINDRICH said he is now
     representing LB JAMES FARRIOR, the Jets' first-round pick
     chosen eighth overall.  Cindrich said he has replaced agent
     BRAD BLANK (NEWSDAY, 7/12)....Athletes such as SHAQUILLE
     O'NEAL who are doubling as record execs are featured by
     Soren Baker in today's N.Y. TIMES.  O'Neal's recording label
     T.W.IsM. is one of the newest "imprints" affiliated with
     Interscope Records.  O'Neal's ties to Interscope "indicate
     that the label that once embraced 'gangsta' rappers like
     SNOOP DOGGY DOGG is part of a different trend -- the
     willingness of professional athletes to spend some of their
     hefty salaries setting themselves up as music executives"
     (N.Y. TIMES, 7/14).
