STADIUM NOTES

          In Denver, Mark Kiszla, on the imminent agreement for
     the Pepsi Center: "A new arena ... can guarantee only one
     significant change in a sporting event's entertainment value
     for fans: Ticket prices will rise dramatically" (DENVER
     POST, 6/29)....Ontario, CA, officials have offered $7M to
     Wells Fargo Bank for a 46-acre site on which the city wants
     to build a 10-15,000-seat arena (Ontario BUSINESS PRESS,
     6/30)....In Milwaukee, Ogden Development Group released a
     plan last week for $3.5M in retail development on a four-
     acre site near Miller Park (Milwaukee JOURNAL SENTINEL,
     6/29)....In WA, Gov. Gary Locke signed a proclamation
     Thursday officially recognizing the passage of Referendum
     48, in which voters approved financing for the Seahawks' new
     stadium.  Final numbers showed 820,364, or 51.1% in favor,
     and 783,584, or 48.9% opposed, with the measure passing in
     only 10 of 39 counties (SEATTLE TIMES, 6/27).
