CHICAGO MAGAZINE EXAMINES THE DREADED LIFE AFTER JORDAN

The future of the Bulls organization in the post-
Michael Jordan era is examined in CHICAGO magazine by Randy
Minkoff, who writes that "by most accounts," Owner Jerry
Reinsdorf "has built an extraordinarily nimble and savvy
sports franchise." The waiting list for the 216 United
Center skyboxes "stretches" to 450 individuals/companies,
and United Center Dir of Premium Seating Greg Hanrahan says
that all 21 skybox holders whose leases expire this year
have already renewed. A waiting list of 20,000 wish to join
the 5,000 "season-ticket elite," who each own an average of
three tickets for all 41 regular-season and playoff games.
CHICAGO's Minkoff notes that "despite the constant sellouts,
the Bulls are spending" on ad spots, print ads, billboards
and direct mail. Bulls VP/Marketing & Broadcasting Steve
Schanwald: "We've got a database of more than 500,000 Bulls
fans, and we want to stay in touch with them and the
     community" (CHICAGO, 6/97 issue).
