SHOE NEWS: FILA SAYS EARNINGS WON'T MEET STREET EXPECTATIONS

Fila Holding SpA said Friday that second-quarter
earnings "could fall as much as" $.36 below analysts' per-
share estimates on "lower-than-expected" sales and cancelled
U.S. orders, according a BLOOMBERG NEWS report in the
Baltimore SUN. Fila is predicting earnings of $0.53-0.60
per share. The company had been expected to earn $0.89 per
share, "based on five analysts surveyed" by IBES Int'l Inc.
Fila cited a "weak demand in the U.S. athletic apparel and
footwear market" for the drop. The company also said that
it had "some unexpected problems" with its warehouse
software system, "which hurt deliveries, and higher selling,
general and administrative costs" (Baltimore SUN, 6/14).
ACCOUNT MOVE: adidas America moved its $20M media
account to Leagas Delaney, San Francisco, from Team One, El
     Segundo, CA (ADVERTISING AGE, 6/16).
