          The Eagles have cut off season tickets for '97 at
     58,000, up 2,000 from a year ago and the most since '83
     (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 6/15)....In Minneapolis, Sid Hartman
     reported that gross revenues for the Twins this year are up
     from $4,155,949 to $5,610,311, an increase of $1,454,362. 
     Concession sales this year are $2,340,001 compared with
     $1,880,470, an increase of $459,531.  The Twins receive 35%
     of the concession gross on the first 1 million in attendance
     and 45% on the balance.  The Twins' share of the concession
     income is up $161,151 from $658,164 a year ago this season,
     to $819,315 (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 6/15)....In Toronto,
     Steve Simmons: "Word is Brian Burke will leave his NHL
     front-office job to run an expansion franchise in Atlanta." 
     Simmons also writes that Blue Jays President Paul Beeston's
     "personal choice to succeed him" at the Blue Jays is former
     Canadiens exec Sam Pollock (TORONTO SUN, 6/15).  Also in
     Toronto, George Gross wrote it "wouldn't ... shock" him if
     Beeston took the job of Maple Leafs CEO (TORONTO SUN, 6/15).
