PRO PLAYER STADIUM DROPS PLANS FOR ADDITIONS WITHOUT SUBSIDY

          Pro Player Stadium officials' plans to build an
     entertainment and retail complex, as well as a complex for
     corporate conventions, "have been dropped, largely because
     the state doesn't want to help pay for them," according to
     Barry Jackson in the MIAMI HERALD.  Pro Player Stadium
     President Bob Kramm "wonders" whether the FL Legislature's
     decision in May not to grant a second $60M tax break to the
     stadium to help fund renovations "will hurt his facility's
     chance of acquiring major events."  Among changes that will
     be made are the addition of United Airlines as a "major"
     stadium sponsor, set to be announced tomorrow, and an
     upgrade to concession stands (MIAMI HERALD, 6/11).
